A six-page Latah County Sheriff's Office report for incident 23L-1392 documenting a KA-BAR knife and black sheath found on the ground near trees at the top of Ash Street near Spruce Street in Genesee, Idaho on March 19, 2023. The reporting party said children found it while playing. Deputy L. Whiting described a black knife with a handle wrapped in black tape-like material, a black sheath, and some rust and dust suggesting it had been in dirt for some time. Property record 1440 lists serial marking “1482 TAIWAN,” a nominal value of $1, and found-property status.
